Since 2009, Wesley Church in Taranaki Street has been running a mid-winter programme to brighten up our part of town, offering hospitality and events including a Community Art Show, a free Film Series, and free Lunchtime Concerts, over a 6 week period.

Film Series

The Winter@ Wesley film Series will be running on Saturdays from 11 June till the 16 July. At 4pm in Drama Christi. This years series is based on the theme, Forgotten Classisc II

Concert Series

Winter @ Wesley this year will offer concerts in the church on Thursdays from 9 June to 21 July 2016.

Concerts run from 12.30 to 1pm, followed by free soup & bread for all in the Hall.

Concerts this year are:

Thursday, 23 June	Irish Duo - Jonathan Berkahn, accordian, piano and whistle, and Rennie Pearson, flute, guitar and fiddle
Thursday, 30 June	Thomas Nikora playing the Piano - show tunes and Chopin
Thursday, 7 July	Suitcase Baroque - Megan Ward, Jonathan Berkahn and Bernard Wells
Thursday, 14 July
Thursday, 21 July

 

Children's Art

During Winter @ Welsey, artwork by the children of Wesley Church will decorate the church walls and windows.
